Job Purpose: The BIM Electrical Modeler will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate 3D models for electrical systems within a BIM environment. The role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to design, model, and integrate electrical components.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in electrical modeling software and a strong understanding of electrical systems.
Responsibilities: BIM Electrical Modeling: Create, modify, and update 3D electrical models (using Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM software) for building projects, ensuring accurate representation of electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, data, and security systems.

Ensure all electrical elements are properly integrated into the pod model in coordination with other disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical). Creating all electrical Revit families as per approved material submittal.
Coordination & Clash Detection: I Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that electrical systems are correctly coordinated within the BIM model. Perform clash detection and resolve any conflicts between electrical systems and other Pod systems.
Drawing & Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings and diagrams from the 3D models, including layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams Generate and maintain BIM documentation, such as schedules, reports, and material lists, based on the electrical model.
Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with electrical engineers, architects, contractors, and other team members to ensure the electrical model meets project requirements. Ensure that all design changes are reflected in the model, drawings, and documentation.
Software & Tools Management: Utilize BIM tools and software (such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks) to produce accurate and efficient electrical models. Educational Requirements: Mandatory: Electrical drafting Diploma.
Experience: Mandatory: +7 years of experience in BIM modeling, with a focus on electrical systems, in the construction or engineering industry. Desirable: Familiarity with electrical systems design and knowledge of electrical components such as lighting, power distribution, and fire alarms is a plus.
Skills: Proficient in using BIM software, especially Revit and AutoCAD, for electrical modeling. Creating all electrical Revit families as per approved material submittal. Knowledge of electrical systems and their integration into BIM. Ability to read and interpret electrical design drawings, specifications, and schematics.
Attention to detail and accuracy in model creation and documentation. Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, or residential projects Experience with additional BIM tools such as Navisworks, BIM 360, or Dynamo is a plus.
