Job Purpose: The BIM Structural Modeler will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate 3D models for Structural systems within a BIM environment. The role involves collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to design, model, and integrate Structural components.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Structural modeling software and a strong understanding of Structural systems. Responsibilities: BIM Structural Modeling: Create, modify, and update 3D Structural models (using Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM software) for building projects, ensuring accurate representation of Structural systems (Steel and Concrete).

Ensure all Structural elements are properly integrated into the pod model in coordination with other disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical). Creating all Structural Revit families as per approved material submittal.
Coordination & Clash Detection: I Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that Structural systems are correctly coordinated within the BIM model. Perform clash detection and resolve any conflicts between Structural systems and other Pod systems.
Drawing & Documentation: Prepare detailed drawings and diagrams from the 3D models, including layouts, schematics, and wiring diagrams Generate and maintain BIM documentation, such as schedules, reports, and material lists, based on the Structural model.
Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with Structural engineers, architects, contractors, and other team members to ensure the Structural model meets project requirements. Ensure that all design changes are reflected in the model, drawings, and documentation.
Software & Tools Management: Utilize BIM tools and software (such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks) to produce accurate and efficient Structural models. Educational Requirements: Mandatory: Structural drafting Diploma.
Experience: Mandatory: +7 years of experience in BIM modeling, with a focus on Structural systems, in the construction or engineering industry. Desirable: Familiarity with Structural systems design and knowledge of Steel sections. Skills: Proficient in using BIM software, especially Revit and AutoCAD, for Structural modeling.
Creating all Structural Revit families as per approved material submittal. Knowledge of Structural systems and their integration into BIM. Ability to read and interpret Structural design drawings, specifications, and schematics. Attention to detail and accuracy in model creation and documentation.
Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, or residential projects, preferably steel projects Experience with additional BIM tools such as Navisworks, BIM 360, or Dynamo is a plus.
