Position Title Drilling Labourer Department Drill & Blast Reports To (Position Title) Drilling Foreman Job Overview Drill labourers provide support to the drill operator to maximise production.
Responsibilities and Duties § Set out and maintain safety cones/ropes/signage for each drill site as per company procedure § Preparing each planned drill hole location § Checking the drilled hole numbers and depths match the planned drilled hole data for every drill hole § Bagging each hole to prevent material falling back in and blocking holes § Assist with ore sampling as required § Record and communicate blocked and under-drilled holes to the drill operator and supervisor.

Check again after re-drilling § Must have a high degree of safety awareness, be a responsible team member, and good communication skills § Complete a safety assessment of each drill site as a drill team member before starting work § Safely carry out all duties as designated by the drilling foreman/supervisor § Maintain good communications with the drill operators and foremen § Report any potential safety issues or bad practices promptly to the drilling foreman § Follow all HSE procedures Qualifications Education Level: not required Years of Experience: Previous experience preferable Specific Skills / Competencies § Must have good health as this position is physically challenging § Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate, preferably in English and Arabic § Must be able to work safely and responsibly at all times within a team § Must be motivated and work in a timely fashion § Must be able to work shift patterns under arduous conditions (heat, dust, noise)
