At kabi.ai, we are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and scale our technical teams. You will oversee the delivery, health, and growth of our engineering org across Frontend, Backend, and QA.
This role requires a strong technical foundation to guide architectural decisions, manage the transition from legacy systems, and implement robust, scalable engineering practices. Key Responsibilities ● Team Leadership & Mentorship: Manage, mentor, and grow a cross-functional team of software engineers and QA specialists.

Conduct regular 1:1s, provide actionable feedback, and support career development. ● Technical Strategy & Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of software projects. Partner with product and leadership teams to plan sprint cycles, allocate resources, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.
● Architecture & Migration: Guide the engineering team in maintaining modern standards while developing new features or migrating to newer technologies. ● Process Optimization: Establish and refine agile engineering workflows, code review standards, and CI/CD pipelines to improve team velocity and code reliability.
● Quality Assurance & AI Integration: Champion technical excellence by collaborating with the QA team to transition from manual testing to automated frameworks, incorporating AI tools where applicable.
Hiring & Team Building: Play a critical role in interviewing and hiring new talent across Frontend, Backend, QA, and specialized roles like Verification Engineering ● Experience: Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, leading cross-functional development teams.
● Technical Background: Deep foundational knowledge in software engineering with previous hands-on experience in a JavaScript/TypeScript-heavy ecosystem. ● Stack Familiarity: Solid understanding of our core technologies, including React, React Native, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
● Systems Evolution: Experience managing technical debt and successfully guiding teams through legacy system migrations. ● Quality Focused: Strong understanding of modern quality methodologies.
● Leadership Skills: High emotional intelligence, clear communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture.
