Position Title Equipment Operator CAT 2 (Drill Rig) Department DRILL & BLAST Reports To (Position Title) Drilling Foreman Job Overview - Responsible for ensuring all drilling activities are conducted safely to the company’s HSE policies and procedures - Ensure that daily drill and blast performance is optimised to meet production and budget targets - Ensure drill rigs are maintained to operational capacity through ownership of the position - Ability to work positively in a team environment Responsibilities and Duties § Ensure that all site HSE policies and procedures are complied with at all times § Implement and maintain the mine plan through effective use of the equipment § Monitor rock tool performance and ensure bit sharpening procedures are followed § Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and promptly § All equipment maintenance schedules are adhered to § Maintain safe and effective communication with team members Qualifications Education Level: High School/College Years of Experience: 5 years Specific Skills / Competencies § Extensive top hammer drilling experience in an open pit mining environment (DP1100i/1500i, T50) § Effective interpersonal communication skills.
