BI Specialist

Gather and analyze business requirements and turn them into specifications for clear, impactful reports and dashboards. Make sure reports and dashboards meet business requirements and are delivered on time. Develop, manage and monitor SSIS projects and maintain ETL processes.

Manage requests to integrate or interface systems and devices, including connecting medical equipment with the EHR, and troubleshoot interface issues. Monitor data flow and integration logs to protect data accuracy, quality and security in transit. Identify application and data risks, propose fixes, and escalate critical issues to management and stakeholders.

Ensure data security, governance and compliance with industry best practices, working with the ICT Security Analyst on threats and how to reduce them. Respond to security incidents following defined protocols, and escalate when needed. Document solutions as required and get business sign-off.

Prepare training materials and deliver end-user training based on business needs. Lead, coach and develop the BI and Data Analyst, and support recruitment, onboarding and succession planning. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.

Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300). Experience 1–3 years of experience developing BI solutions. Preferred: Hands-on experience with Power BI, SSRS, SSIS, ETL and Power Automate. Skills and Competencies Advanced experience managing BI and reporting solutions in a large organization.

Strong understanding of business processes. Knowledge of change management principles. Familiarity with ICT architecture (hardware, networking, applications and integration), and the ability to combine these into workable business solutions. Basic knowledge of project management principles and of managing application and device interfaces.
