Estimator

Responsibilities: Cost Estimation & BOQ Preparation Prepare detailed cost estimates for fit-out projects based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements. Develop and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and labor requirements. Analyze project scope, risks, and assumptions to ensure accurate pricing.

Tendering & Pricing Participate in tender preparation, pricing strategies, and bid submissions. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and evaluate offers. Ensure pricing is competitive while maintaining targeted profit margins.

Cost Control & Financial Support Support project teams in budget monitoring and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Identify cost variances and recommend corrective actions. Assist Finance and Projects teams in forecasting and cost reporting. Maintain organized records for estimates, quotations, and historical project data.

Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and client requirements. Coordination & Documentation Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Project teams to align estimates with execution plans. Maintain organized records for estimates, quotations, and historical project data.

Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and client requirements. Continuous Improvement Develop and update cost databases, rate libraries, and estimation templates. Review completed projects to improve future estimation accuracy. Proactively suggest improvements to estimation processes and tools.

Functional and Knowledge Skills Technical Skills Strong experience in cost estimation for Fit Out / Construction projects. Proficiency in BOQ preparation, material take-offs, and rate analysis. Good command of Excel and estimation software (ERP experience is a plus). Ability to read and interpret architectural, MEP, and shop drawings.

Business & Industry Knowledge Solid understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and market rates. Knowledge of procurement processes and subcontractor pricing. Awareness of cost control, budgeting, and commercial project requirements. Soft Skills Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Clear communication and coordination with multiple departments. Proactive, organized, and solution-oriented mindset. Qualifications/Experience: Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in cost estimation for fit-out and construction projects.

At least 2 years of experience in the Saudi market is preferred. Proven experience in estimating luxury projects, including five-star hotels, luxury resorts, and high-end developments within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.

Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) certification is preferred. Strong experience with estimation software and systems , with advanced professional proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel .
